Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Demo Studio ("the Service") at demo.bnj.app, operated by Hugo Software.

What the Service does

Demo Studio turns a screen recording into a framed demo video. It records your screen through your browser, or opens a video file you already have, proposes zoom moves by measuring on-screen change, and encodes an MP4 — all inside your browser tab.

Your content is yours

You keep every right in the recordings you make and the videos you export. We acquire no licence to them, because we never receive them: the Service has no endpoint that accepts video.

You are responsible for what you record. Do not use the Service to capture other people's screens, private information, or material you have no right to record or publish. You are responsible for complying with the recording and privacy laws that apply where you are.

Free and Pro

The free tier is a working tool: recording, backgrounds, frames, automatic zoom moves, audio and export all work without payment. Free exports are limited to 30 seconds, a maximum height of 1080p, 30fps, and carry a small watermark in the corner.

A Pro subscription removes the watermark and the 30-second limit, unlocks 1440p and 2160p output, 60fps export, your own background image, and saved looks.

Subscription, trial and cancellation

Pro is sold as a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription with a 24-hour free trial. Prices are shown in the app before you pay and are charged by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time through the customer portal linked from the app, and access continues until the end of the paid period.

There is no account. Your subscription is bound to a licence code of the form BNJ-XXXXXXXX, shown to you after payment and stored in your browser. Keep a copy of it — it is how you restore Pro on another device or after clearing your browser data. We cannot look up a lost code by email, because we do not store your email.

If payments are not switched on yet, the app says so plainly and no charge is possible.

Refunds

If the Service does not do what this page says it does, write to us and we will refund the current period.

Availability and limits

The Service depends on browser features that not every browser has: screen recording needs getDisplayMedia, and frame-by-frame export needs WebCodecs. Desktop Chrome and Edge support both. Where a feature is missing, the app tells you instead of failing silently.

Export speed depends on your machine; the output does not. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue features.

No warranty; liability

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes with them.
